Kubo's interest in the visualisation of what used to be hidden in our world and society has now turned towards the exploration of his own origins, and he collects various objects based on the production method 'Perspective of Memory'. These include anecdotes and histories that people have woven together to pass on and record their memories, and their quotations and interpretations are interspersed throughout the work in the form of texts and the artist's own voice. 'Perspective of Memory' is taken from the book of the same name by Tatsuhiko Shibusawa. In his essays, he expressed his yearning for the illusion of 'looking at the world through an upside-down telescope', in which objects appear small, and for the detailed memories that are awakened by the distance between them. In Kubo's work, a part of the extensive information about the collected objects is connected to memories that the artist herself cannot have, creating a multilayered and mysterious situation of 'visualisation'.
